Tldr: need a program (form Mac) to ONLY add genre tag to Flac files and pull info from iTunes/Apple Music.

Mp3tags has a script to pull metadata from iTunes but it’s manual and time consumingĪfter this 1500 songs I’ll manually curate the next songs I’ll add. Same a MediaMonkey MusicBee and Picard (labeled Lorde Melodrama as instrumental) I already tried beets but on a test batch of 50 when importing a library, 30 songs didn’t find. I will probably add the rest manually as LyricsFinder has a web button to search the lyrics. The only problem is that all my genre metadata is in French, and some albums are straight up wrong (entire Lorde collection is labeled rock, while on iTunes is Alternative, and Flume labeled Hip-Hop instead of Electronic)Īs I grew up with Apple Music I would like to keep the Apple Music tags, because I’m familiar with them.įor the lyrics I found LyricsFinder but out of 1500 songs, 350 hasn’t found anything ( half are electronics songs so no lyrics but it didn’t found Bohemian Rhapsody so idk ). Now I obtained all my music via Qobuz-dl and some via Tidal-dl (still need to find a way to get iTunes specifics songs in Flac) My library is about 1500 songs, all added trough the years.
#FLAC CUE SPLITTER REDDIT OFFLINE#
Hi, after almost 7 years of Apple Music I decided to move offline and build my own collection (after some songs got pulled down and the fact that I just bought an iPod Classic). Would then like to see which of those old mp3s now have new FLAC equivalents in my collection and delete the lesser quality file.

Would also love to finally deal with the older folder, moving the clean CD rips over and the old mp3s. My goal is to copy over my Downloads folder to an organized folder, cleaning up tags and bringing those extra files over. Videos and books end up in the same Downloads folder.Īlso have an older folder of music that is a mixed bag: pretty well tagged CD rips saved as FLACs through an old Vortexbox server and mp3s dating back to SoulSeek days. Anything better out there?Ĭurrently torrenting most of my music with occasional web downloads into the same Downloads folder. I'm here to do an environmental scan to see what is out there these days to help me organize my music collection before I go through the whole import process again. txt files so I think I need to do another import. However, discovered that my import of my mass of music omitted extra files like. Have been using beets to organize my music which works well, albeit needs some attention when importing. Have been using Plex to play music and video and am happy with that. I have a new server with more storage than I have ever had.
